Our Congregation offers a wide range of educational opportunities for our members and the greater Jewish community. Adult education programs include weekly Torah study, Basic Judaisim and Taste of Judaisim.
Members meet weekly with the Rabbi to study Torah and bring forth sacred Jewish principles for reflection and personal growth.
Basic Judaism
This ten-session course is an introduction to the basic elements of Judaism: God, Torah, and Israel. The course covers the sacred texts (Torah, the rest of the Bible, and the Siddur), the festivals (Shavuot Sukkot, Passover, Chanukah, Purim), the High Holy Days, Shabbat, and Israel.
Taste of Judaism
These classes are offered for adults who would like to explore Reform Judaism's relevance in
today's world. Students are invited to learn about Jewish perspectives on topics of
spirituality, values, and community. The classes are designed for "beginners"--for all who are
interested in learning more about Judaism whether they were born Jewish or not.
