The Center of Jewish Life in the Napa Valley

Executive Director’s Welcome

From the moment I arrived in Napa in 2023, I was received with the warmth and kindness of the members of Congregation Beth Shalom. This is a community that meets its visitors where they are, embraces them and helps to elevate them.

No matter where you are in your life’s journey, whether you are a native to Napa, or like me, a New York transplant, whether you have been a practicing Jew your whole life, or just want to learn more, Beth Shalom is here to welcome you.

Our twelve values are encompassed in Beth Shalom’s mission statement, and it is with these values in mind that we encourage you to join us:

  • Kavod: Respect
  • Rachamim: Compassion
  • Hachnaset Orchim: Welcoming the stranger
  • Shalom: Peace
  • Tzedakah: Justice
  • B’Tzelem Elohim: Everyone created In the image of G-d
  • Kadosh: Holiness
  • Torah: Jewish learning
  • Yirat Nifla’ot: Sense of awe and wonder
  • Ahavat: Israel Love of Israel
  • Tikkun Olam: Responsibility to make the world a better place
  • Chesed: Kindness

As the Executive Director of Congregation Beth Shalom, my door is always open should you have any questions about the synagogue, our programs, or just want to chat over a cup of coffee.
