The Center of Jewish Life in the Napa Valley
By contributing to Congregation Beth Shalom, you help us continue to create meaningful programs and support for all stages of Jewish life. There are many ways you can help Beth Shalom with a tax-deductible donation that has an immediate impact, or a gift that helps sustains our community for the next generation.
While general donations allow the synagogue to allocate resources where needed most, our designated funds offer you the opportunity to earmark your contribution towards specific areas you care about. Choose a fund that resonates with your values and aspirations, and help us build a strong future together.
Donations to this fund are used at the discretion of the Beth Shalom Board of Trustees for ongoing expenses of our congregation, helping bridge the gap between membership dues and our annual budget.
Bikor Cholim (“visiting the sick” in Hebrew) is a mitzvah. These funds are used to provide comfort and support to those Beth Shalom members who are ill or hospitalized.
Fuel a love of learning with support for adult education. Your gift enables classes, lectures, seminars, workshops, and cultural programs on a variety of topics dealing with Jewish life, practice, culture, national and world politics, social justice, and beginning Hebrew instruction.
This fund is a collection of assets that are set aside to generate long-term income. The income from the endowment is used to support our operations, programs, or specific needs.
These funds are used to help maintain the Ner Tamid Jewish Cemetery, which is a consecrated section of the historic St. Helena Cemetery located in the heart of Napa Valley. Ner Tamid is landscaped and demarcated from the larger community cemetery by attractive borders and a monument of Jewish significance.
Empower our Rabbi to offer special support to individuals. This fund assists the children of members in attending Jewish camps and more, while facilitating charitable efforts within the community, at the discretion of the Rabbi.
Open doors for our young ones to explore their Jewish identity. This fund provides financial support to Religious School, Camp Chaverim summer camp, and other synagogue youth activities.
Donations to this fund support refugee households in Napa, ensuring they have what they need to thrive.
We are the shul with the pool! These funds are used to help maintain and update the Beth Shalom swimming pool and pool area.
Music is an important part of many of our activities at Beth Shalom. These funds are used to enhance our beloved music program.
Sponsoring an Oneg after Friday evening Shabbat services is a lovely way to honor someone you love, or celebrate an upcoming simcha. As a sponsor, your name and dedication are read from the bima, and you help us celebrate Shabbat with the warmth and community that makes Beth Shalom a special place.
