I have some sad news for CBS to share with all of you. I’ve attached a letter from Lauren addressed to the entire CBS community. She and Zack are leaving Napa and moving back down to Southern California on April 5th. As Lauren moves on to a new position, I’d like to express my gratitude for her invaluable contributions to CBS.
Lauren and Zack’s dedication and talent have enriched our community, and while we will miss them, we wholeheartedly support their decision to pursue new opportunities. We wish them continued success and fulfillment in their endeavors, and they will always be a cherished part of our synagogue family.

Dear friend,
In her three years with our CBS community, Lauren Snyder (and her husband Zack) has made a positive and lasting impact on our families and individual members. We will miss her as she moves on next month to a wonderful opportunity as the executive director of the synagogue she grew up in, as well as a place that is much closer to her family in southern California.
I've considered Lauren to be a talented and committed partner and co-creator of great programming along with Marah, Gordon and our CBS teachers and volunteers. I wish her the best of luck in her new professional and personal chapter. I hope that our relationship with her will continue in the time ahead, and she will always have a place her in the friendly confines of Napa Valley.
Chazak v'amatz—Be strong and of good courage!

To my Congregation Beth Shalom Family,
In 2021, CBS gave me a bright new opportunity where I was so warmly welcomed by a community I had no history with.
For three years, I have fulfilled my professional and personal goals as the synagogue director working to build up the CBS community. I am proud of the work I have done here and am grateful for the opportunity.
At this time another opportunity has opened which will allow me to take on a new challenge as I have accepted the position of Executive Director of Temple Beth Tikvah in Fullerton, CA. This congregation in Fullerton has a rich personal history for me and I am looking forward to giving back to a community that gave me my start as a Jewish Professional. My appreciation and dedication to our shared California Jewish Community runs deep and while I may find myself moving down to the farther end of the state now, please know that I will continue to be a partner and constant friend to CBS.
Being a part of your simchas, lifecycles, and holidays have touched me deeply and created lifelong memories. CBS will always be woven into my history and I look forward to celebrating and honoring CBS and its impact on my life.
My final day working as the Synagogue Director at Congregation Beth Shalom is scheduled for April 5th. In the meantime, I will be working with the Board and other leadership to ensure the best transition I can for the synagogue family I have come to care so deeply about.
L’shalom, Lauren Y. Snyder
