Service Guidelines

IN-PERSON SERVICES

Hello to everyone.  As I write this message I am pleased that we are beginning to get back to a form of normalcy. It is wonderful to be back in the sanctuary for services.  At our monthly Board of Trustees monthly meeting the board made the decision to follow the current Napa County guidelines concerning masking requirements.  The decision was made that wearing a mask indoors is not required at this time as long as you have been fully vaccinated.  So we have made the decision that if you are fully vaccinated, you have the option of wearing or not wearing a mask.  If you are not fully vaccinated, we do require that you wear a mask if you attend our services or programs indoors.  I am pleased that we are moving in a positive direction. We want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible while safeguarding others by wearing a mask when necessary.

We are very pleased to let you know that we will be returning to in-person Shabbat services beginning on Friday night, February 11th. We will continue to provide a virtual option for those of you who are unable to return or not yet comfortable returning to CBS in person.

In order to continue to be as safe as possible, please provide your CDC vaccination card, or photo of your proof of vaccination, as we required for our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services before entering the building. We are also requiring that you wear an N95 or a KN95 mask, or other medical grade masks throughout the service. If you don't have one of these masks, we will have them in the lobby for you.

We are very pleased that we will be back in our synagogue after a brief hiatus because of the omicron spike. Thanks to all of you for your understanding and support during this unpredictable time.

Rabbi Niles Goldstein
Lauren Kaplan, Synagogue Director
Marc Samrick, CBS President

Services will continue to be online via our Congregation Beth Shalom Napa YouTube channel.

Thank you for reading and respecting our guidelines.
