Sarina Roffé, an expert on genealogy and Sephardic history, will provide an overview of how Sephardic Jews dispersed around the globe after 1492 and will discuss Sephardic resources for genealogy.
 
Sarina is a professional genealogist and founder of the Sephardic Heritage Project. She is co-chair of the Brooklyn Jewish Historical Initiative, and chair of the JewishGen Sephardic Research Division.
 
Raised in Brooklyn's Syrian Jewish community, Sarina is also a widely recognized Sephardic cook.  She is the author of Backyard Kitchen: Mediterranean Salads; and a cooking app called Sarina's Sephardic Cuisine.
