Becoming CBS President is an exciting and unique opportunity. Sometimes it's finding simple solutions to members' questions - like removing the non-functional water dispenser in the social hall and replacing it with a few pitchers of water alongside the wine during Onegs, or adding security access to our administration building.
Last week I stopped by to see what Camp Chavarim and Camp Invention were all about. The energy and excitement was overwhelming. Learning became fun!
Donna Mendelsohn and Phyllis Kleid drove to St. Helena to educate me on our dedicated plots in the Ner Tamid Cemetery. We asked about expansion options as there are only 25+ plots available. I should have more news to share with you next month.
CBS is a congregation with many moving parts. We have 15 committees that keep us moving forward and successful. Our board members have all agreed to be on one of the committees. And we will be reaching out to get volunteers from the membership as well.
